Service planning is a collaborative approach aimed to design, develop, and implement services while increasing their impact in the local community (SERVIR Service Planning Toolkit, 2017). This approach is usually used for disaster preparedness, food security and sustainable livelihoods, environmental resource management and household resilience (SERVIR Service Planning Toolkit, 2017). The service planning approach has been tailored to address the purpose of this plan while still preserving the main steps of service planning. Generally, this approach can be seen as a cycle where a problem is identified, solutions are determined and then implemented. The implemented solutions are then re-assessed to identify problems and thus the cycle continues.
