The Arab foundation for Freedom and Equality is proud to announce the launching of the third round of its Social Change Program focused on Gender and Sexuality. The program aims to build the capacities of 20 change agents from the MENA region through 7 thematic modules that address issues of gender and sexuality from a social justice and activism approach. The program is a practical training based on peer learning and exchange. The program includes 7 training modules lasting between 4 and 6 days, held throughout the year of 2013, and opportunities to participate in a mentorship program, internships and exchanges.
Emergency Response
AFE is the MENA coordinator of the world's only human rights defender fund for activists working on sexual and bodily rights and gender-equality. Activists have access to an emergency helpline. AFE provides fast emergency intervention for activists in danger.
The research will provide better understanding on the legislations and laws that authorities are using to control or oppress any movement or any type of activism on gender and sexuality issues. The Legal research has to identify and retrieve information necessary to support legal decision-making. In its broadest sense, the legal research would include each step of a course of action that begins with an analysis of the facts of a problem and conclude with the application and communication of the results of the investigation.
